In establishments with one or more basic nuclear installations, the Social and Economic Committee shall be informed by the employer of the safety policy and may request information on the risks associated with exposure to ionising radiation and on the safety and radiation protection measures taken to prevent or reduce these risks or exposures, under the conditions defined in Articles L. 124-1 to L. 124-6 of the Environment Code.
The committee is consulted by the employer on the definition and subsequent modifications of the internal emergency plan mentioned inarticle L. 1333-12 of the Public Health Code. It may propose changes to this plan to the employer, who must justify to the committee the action taken on these proposals.
A decree in the Conseil d’Etat sets the time limit within which the committee must give its opinion.
