The provisions of this chapter apply without prejudice to those set out in Title II of Book III of Part Two relating to the Social and Economic Committee.
The Social and Economic Committee is consulted on the list of safety-related workstations at the facility. This list is drawn up by the employer under conditions determined by decree in the Conseil d’Etat. The Social and Economic Committee is informed following any incident that could have had serious consequences. It may analyse the incident and propose any action to prevent its recurrence. The follow-up to these proposals is examined as part of the presentation of the annual report and programme, as provided for inarticle L. 2312-27.
In establishments with one or more basic nuclear installations, the Social and Economic Committee shall be informed by the employer of the safety policy and may request information on the risks associated with exposure to ionising radiation and on the safety and radiation protection measures taken to prevent or reduce these risks or exposures, under the conditions defined in Articles L. 124-1 to L. 124-6 of the Environment Code. The social and economic committee may call on the services of an expert in technological risks, under conditions determined by decree of the Conseil d’Etat. However, these provisions do not apply in establishments comprising at least one basic nuclear facility.
