A regional commission on private practice is placed under the authority of the Director General of the Regional Health Agency.
The commission periodically draws up a regional report on the self-employed activities of the practitioners mentioned in article L. 6154-1.
At the request of the Director General of the Regional Health Agency, the Commission issues an opinion on practice authorisations issued in application of article L. 6154-4. It must be consulted on measures to suspend or withdraw authorisations proposed in application of article L. 6154-6 and on the decision to apply the indemnity provided for in the second paragraph of IV of article L. 6154-2. It may also make proposals to improve the conditions under which compliance with the legislative and regulatory provisions applicable to liberal professions is ensured.
It is chaired by an independent person appointed by the Director General of the Regional Health Agency.
The composition and operating conditions of this regional consultative commission for private practice, which must include a representative of users of the healthcare system, within the meaning of article L. 1114-1, are laid down by regulation.
Subject to respect for medical confidentiality, the Director General of the Regional Health Agency and the Regional Advisory Commission shall have access to any useful information on the activities, whether private or public, of a practitioner practising as a private practitioner, with a view to exercising the prerogatives provided for in this chapter.
