The Assembly of French Guyana, when one fifth of its members so request, shall deliberate on the creation of a mission of information and assessment responsible for gathering information on a matter of local interest or for assessing a public service of the territorial collectivity of French Guyana. The same councillor may not be associated with such a request more than once a year.
No mission may be created from 1 January of the calendar year preceding the year of the renewal of the Assembly of French Guyana.
The rules of procedure shall set out the rules for the presentation and examination of the request for the establishment of the mission, its operating procedures, the procedures for its composition in compliance with the principle of proportional representation, the duration of the mission, which may not exceed six months from the date of the deliberation which established it, as well as the conditions under which it shall submit its report to the councillors of the Assembly of French Guyana.
