Article L7122-28 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The representative of the State in the territorial collectivity shall be responsible for national interests, compliance with the law and, under the conditions laid down by this code, administrative control.

Under the conditions laid down by this code, he shall ensure that the authorities of the territorial collectivity of French Guiana exercise their powers in a regular manner.

Article L7122-28

Le représentant de l’Etat dans la collectivité territoriale a la charge des intérêts nationaux, du respect des lois et, dans les conditions fixées par le présent code, du contrôle administratif.

Dans les conditions fixées par le présent code, il veille à l’exercice régulier de leurs compétences par les autorités de la collectivité territoriale de Guyane.
