Article L7124-17 of the French Labour Code

It is forbidden for fathers, mothers, guardians or employers, and generally for any person having authority over or custody of a child, to entrust their children, wards or apprentices under the age of sixteen, whether free of charge or in return for payment, to persons practising the professions mentioned in article L. 7124-16.

It is also forbidden for intermediaries or agents to entrust these children or have them entrusted to them.

It is forbidden for any person to encourage children under the age of sixteen to leave the home of their parents or guardians to follow persons in the activities and professions mentioned in article L. 7124-16.

Article L7124-17

Il est interdit aux père, mère, tuteurs ou employeurs, et généralement à toute personne ayant autorité sur un enfant ou en ayant la garde, de confier, à titre gratuit ou onéreux, leurs enfants, pupilles ou apprentis âgés de moins de seize ans aux personnes exerçant les professions mentionnées à l’article L. 7124-16.

Il est également interdit aux intermédiaires ou agents de confier ou de faire confier ces enfants.

Il est interdit à toute personne d’inciter des enfants âgés de moins de seize ans à quitter le domicile de leurs parents ou tuteurs pour suivre les personnes des activités et professions mentionnées à l’article L. 7124-16.
