Article L7124-21 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The Board of Directors of the public establishment provided for in Article L. 7124-19 is composed, in addition to its chairman, of:

1° One third of representatives of the customary grand council of the Amerindian and Bushinenge populations, appointed from among its members;

2° One third of representatives of the Guiana collectivity, other territorial collectivities or their groupings or other local public establishments;

3° Representatives of the State or its public establishments;

4° Representatives of foundations or associations concerned or other qualified individuals.

The chairman of the board of directors is appointed by order of the State representative in French Guiana, on the proposal of the grand customary council of the Amerindian and Bushinenge populations.

The term of office of the chairman and members of the board of directors is three years, renewable once.

Article L7124-21

Le conseil d’administration de l’établissement public prévu à l’article L. 7124-19 est composé, outre son président, de :

1° Un tiers de représentants du grand conseil coutumier des populations amérindiennes et bushinenges, désignés en son sein ;

2° Un tiers de représentants de la collectivité de Guyane, des autres collectivités territoriales ou de leurs groupements ou d’autres établissements publics locaux ;

3° De représentants de l’Etat ou de ses établissements publics ;

4° De représentants de fondations ou d’associations concernées ou d’autres personnalités qualifiées.

Le président du conseil d’administration est désigné par arrêté du représentant de l’Etat en Guyane, sur proposition du grand conseil coutumier des populations amérindiennes et bushinenges.

La durée du mandat du président et des membres du conseil d’administration est de trois ans, renouvelable une fois.
