Article L7213-7 of the French Labour Code

If the employer refuses to accept the proposed replacement, he will provide the replacement himself.

In this case, for the duration of his paid leave, the employee shall make the premises and furniture available to the replacement appointed by the employer.

The employer is liable for any abuse or damage that may be committed by the replacement.

Lorsque l’employeur refuse le remplaçant proposé il pourvoit lui-même au remplacement du salarié.

Dans ce cas, pendant la durée de son congé payé, le salarié met les locaux et le mobilier à la disposition du remplaçant désigné par l’employeur.

L’employeur est responsable des abus et dommages qui pourraient être commis par le remplaçant.
