Bearers transporting cash in an amount equal to or greater than €10,000 in Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon and Saint-Barthélemy, or 1,193,300 CFP francs in New Caledonia, French Polynesia and the Wallis and Futuna Islands, to or from abroad, must declare this to the customs authorities. They shall make this money available to the customs authorities in the event of an inspection during transport.
Any natural person who, for himself or on behalf of a third party, is carrying cash on his person, in his luggage or in his means of transport, is considered to be a bearer.
A decree of the Conseil d’Etat shall lay down the conditions for the application of this article.
