Article R1111-1-C of the French General Code of Local Authorities

When the deliberation referred to in article R. 1111-1-B provides for the persons exercising these functions to receive compensation, this compensation shall take the form of holiday allowances, the amount of which may not exceed a ceiling set by order of the Minister responsible for local authorities.

It may also provide for the reimbursement of their travel and accommodation expenses under the conditions applicable to local civil service staff.

Article R1111-1-C

Lorsque la délibération visée à l’article R. 1111-1-B prévoit que les personnes exerçant ces fonctions reçoivent une indemnisation, celle-ci prend la forme de vacations dont le montant ne peut pas dépasser un plafond fixé par arrêté du ministre chargé des collectivités territoriales.

Elle peut également prévoir le remboursement de leurs frais de transport et d’hébergement dans les conditions applicables aux personnels de la fonction publique territoriale.
