Article R123-308 of the French Commercial code

When the President of the Regional Chamber of Trades and Crafts or, by delegation, the President of the Departmental Chamber of Trades and Crafts is informed that the registration of a person or the amendment to the registration concerning that person has been carried out using irregular supporting documents, and when he finds that this information is serious, he informs the registered person and invites him to produce additional supporting documents within a period of fifteen days. If this request is not complied with, the president will ask the keeper of the National Register of Companies, via the single body mentioned in article R. 123-1, to enter the request for regularisation.

Lorsque le président de la chambre de métiers et de l’artisanat de région ou, par délégation, le président de la chambre de métiers et de l’artisanat de niveau départemental est informé que l’immatriculation d’une personne ou l’inscription modificative la concernant aurait été réalisée au moyen d’une pièce justificative irrégulière et qu’il constate que cette information revêt un caractère sérieux, il en informe la personne immatriculée et l’invite à produire des justificatifs complémentaires dans un délai de quinze jours. S’il n’est pas déféré à cette invitation, le président sollicite du teneur du Registre national des entreprises, par l’intermédiaire de l’organisme unique mentionné à l’article R. 123-1, l’inscription de la mention de demande de régularisation.
