The committee of experts communicates its decision in writing to the donor and to the doctor in charge of the service, department or care structure of the health establishment in which the removal is envisaged, who forwards it to the director of the establishment.
In the event of cross-donation of organs, the doctor in charge of the care structure of the health establishment in which the removal is envisaged sends the Agence de la biomédecine a copy of the document in which the donor’s consent was obtained for the purposes of registration in the register of pairs of living donors and potential recipients who have consented to cross-donation of organs, mentioned in 7° of article L. 1418-1, as well as a copy of the authorisation for removal granted by the committee of experts, when this authorisation is required in application of IV of article L. 1231-1. After receiving these documents, the Agency may issue a proposal for matching potential donors and recipients who have consented to cross-organ donation, in compliance with the principle of anonymity laid down in II of Article L. 1231-1. When such a proposal is made, it is forwarded to the doctor in charge of the care structure of the health establishment in which the removal is envisaged.
