Where its articles of association so provide, a delegated sports federation may set up a professional league with legal personality:

1° Either to organise the sporting competitions it defines;

2° Or to lay down the conditions for the organisation and participation of sportsmen and women in the sporting competitions it defines.

Article R132-1

Lorsque ses statuts le prévoient, une fédération sportive délégataire peut créer une ligue professionnelle dotée de la personnalité morale :

1° Soit pour organiser les compétitions sportives qu’elle définit ;

2° Soit pour fixer, pour les compétitions sportives qu’elle définit, leurs conditions d’organisation et celles de la participation des sportifs.
