I.-Before the holder of the authorisation referred to in article R. 1321-8 puts its installations into service, the Director General of the Regional Health Agency will, at the expense of the holder of the authorisation and within two months of being notified, have analyses carried out to check the quality of the water produced, the characteristics of which are set by order of the Minister for Health.
If the results of the tests are satisfactory, the Prefect allows the water to be distributed to the public. If the results are not, the Prefect will issue a reasoned decision refusing distribution. Distribution is deferred until a new check, carried out under the conditions set out above, has established compliance.
II – If the installation is not commissioned within five years of notification of the authorisation referred to in article R. 1321-8, the authorisation is deemed to have lapsed.
III. – For packaged water, the provisions applicable are those of articles R. 1322-9 and R. 1322-10.
