In order to implement the principle of optimisation defined in 2° of Article L. 1333-2, the person responsible for the nuclear activity or the competent authority may set dose constraints for the exposure of the general public to ionising radiation expressed in terms of individual effective or equivalent dose.
These constraints may not exceed the dose limits laid down in Article R. 1333-11.
The person responsible for the nuclear activity shall make available to the competent authority the documents justifying the setting of these dose constraints and the measurements taken to assess the doses received by the public.
