Article R1333-125 of the French Public Health Code

The French Nuclear Safety Authority (Autorité de sûreté nucléaire) gives its decision on applications for authorisation within six months. This period may be extended twice for the same duration by the Nuclear Safety Authority.

If no response is received within the time limit, which may be extended, the application is deemed to have been rejected.

L’Autorité de sûreté nucléaire se prononce dans un délai de six mois sur les demandes d’autorisation. Ce délai peut être prorogé deux fois pour la même durée par l’Autorité de sûreté nucléaire.

L’absence de réponse dans le délai, éventuellement prorogé, vaut rejet de la demande.
