Article R1333-90 of the French Public Health Code

I.-The provisions of this section apply to the actions mentioned in 2° of Article L. 1333-1 and to the decisions mentioned in Article L. 1333-3 to prevent or reduce a risk related to situations of long-term exposure to ionising radiation.

II – A situation of lasting exposure to ionising radiation is understood to mean :

1° A situation resulting from a radiological emergency that has caused lasting pollution of the environment or property by radioactive substances;

2° Any situation involving pollution by radioactive substances other than that mentioned in 1°.

I.-Les dispositions de la présente section s ’ appliquent aux actions mentionnées au 2° de l ’ article L. 1333-1 et aux décisions mentionnées à l ’ article L. 1333-3 pour prévenir ou réduire un risque lié aux situations d ’ exposition durable aux rayonnements ionisants.

II.-On entend par situation d ’ exposition durable aux rayonnements ionisants :

1° Une situation consécutive à une situation d ’ urgence radiologique ayant occasionné une pollution durable de l ’ environnement ou de biens par des substances radioactives ;

2° Tout autre situation de pollution par des substances radioactives que celle mentionnée au 1°.
