Article R142-43 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

In application of article L. 313-5, the mayor of the municipality of the place of accommodation or, in Paris, Lyon and Marseille, the arrondissement mayor may, as a State agent, implement automated processing of personal data relating to requests for validation of reception certificates, the purpose of which is to combat abuse of procedure encouraging illegal immigration.

Article R142-43

En application de l’article L. 313-5, le maire de la commune du lieu d’hébergement ou, à Paris, Lyon et Marseille, le maire d’arrondissement peut, en qualité d’agent de l’Etat, mettre en œuvre des traitements automatisés de données à caractère personnel relatifs aux demandes de validation des attestations d’accueil, dont la finalité est de lutter contre les détournements de procédure favorisant l’immigration irrégulière.
