Internal regulations set out the operating procedures of the local fire and rescue service, subject to the provisions of the operational regulations drawn up by the prefect. The regulations are drawn up by the territorial authority after receiving the opinion of the departmental director of fire and rescue services and the communal or inter-communal advisory committee.
The departmental director of fire and rescue services ensures that the communal or inter-communal bodies operate smoothly and proposes to the competent authorities any measures that he or she deems useful.
