Article R1424-53 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The internal regulations of the departmental or territorial fire and rescue service determine those mixed centres which, although called upon to be commanded by a professional firefighter by application of the second paragraph of article R. 1424-41, continue, by necessity of service, to be commanded by a volunteer firefighter. It also stipulates the period of time after which command will revert to a professional firefighter.

Le règlement intérieur du service départemental ou territorial d’incendie et de secours détermine ceux des centres mixtes qui, bien qu’appelés à être commandés par un sapeur-pompier professionnel par application du deuxième alinéa de l’article R. 1424-41, continuent, par nécessité de service, à être commandés par un sapeur-pompier volontaire. Il prévoit également le délai au terme duquel le commandement reviendra à un sapeur-pompier professionnel.
