Article R15-33-29-1 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

In the performance of their duties, private security guards are required to hold their card or approval decision at all times and to produce it to any person who requests it.

He must also have the words “garde particulier” or “garde-chasse particulier” or “garde-pêche particulier” or “garde des bois particulier” prominently displayed on his clothing, depending on the mission entrusted, to the exclusion of all others.

Private rangers may not carry any weapons, with the exception of those required for the destruction of harmful animals under the conditions set out in article R. 427-21 of the Environment Code.

The wearing of an insignia defining a rank, a tricolour emblem, a kepi, as well as any insignia or badge referring to an associative, trade union, political or religious affiliation is prohibited.

Dans l’exercice de ses fonctions, le garde particulier est tenu de détenir en permanence sa carte ou sa décision d’agrément et de la présenter à toute personne qui en fait la demande.

Il doit également faire figurer de manière visible sur ses vêtements la mention, selon la mission confiée, de ” garde particulier ” ou ” garde-chasse particulier ” ou ” garde-pêche particulier ” ou ” garde des bois particulier “, à l’exclusion de toute autre.

Les gardes particuliers ne peuvent porter aucune arme, à l’exception de celles nécessaires à la destruction des animaux nuisibles dans les conditions prévues à l’article R. 427-21 du code de l’environnement.

Le port d’un insigne définissant un grade, d’un emblème tricolore, d’un képi, ainsi que de tout insigne et écusson faisant référence à une appartenance associative, syndicale, politique ou religieuse est interdit.
