Article R211-15 of the French Tourism Code

For air transport services included in a tourist package, the persons referred to in article L. 211-1 shall send the traveller, for each leg of the flight, a list comprising a maximum of three carriers, including the contractual carrier and any de facto carrier used by the tour operator.

For the application of the previous paragraph, the notions of contractual carrier and de facto carrier are understood within the meaning of the Convention for the Unification of Certain Rules for International Carriage by Air, signed in Montreal on 28 May 1999.

Pour les prestations de transport aérien incluses dans un forfait touristique, les personnes visées à l’article L. 211-1 transmettent au voyageur, pour chaque tronçon de vol, une liste comprenant au maximum trois transporteurs, au nombre desquels figurent le transporteur contractuel et le transporteur de fait auquel l’organisateur du voyage aura éventuellement recours.

Pour l’application de l’alinéa précédent, les notions de transporteur contractuel et de transporteur de fait s’entendent au sens de la convention pour l’unification de certaines règles relatives au transport aérien international, signée à Montréal le 28 mai 1999.
