Article R211-35 of the French Insurance Code

When the victim lives overseas or abroad, the time limits set by articles R. 211-31 and R. 211-32 are extended by one month. The time limit given to the insurer to make an offer of compensation is extended by the same amount of time.

When a third party payer lives overseas or abroad, the time limits provided for in article L. 211-9 are increased by one month.

Lorsque la victime demeure outre-mer ou à l’étranger, les délais qui lui sont impartis en vertu des articles R. 211-31 et R. 211-32 sont augmentés d’un mois. Le délai imparti à l’assureur pour présenter l’offre d’indemnité est prorogé de la même durée.

Lorsqu’un tiers payeur demeure outre-mer ou à l’étranger, les délais prévus à l’article L. 211-9 sont augmentés d’un mois.
