Article R221-21 of the French Sports Code

A “pôle Espoirs” is any structure or group of structures linked to each other, in particular by agreement, which mainly takes in athletes registered on the list of “Espoirs” athletes provided for in article R. 221-11 and enables them to benefit from the training and preparation provided for in 1° to 3° of article R. 221-20.

Espoir centres” may only take in athletes who are at least twelve years old or enrolled in a secondary school during the year in which they are enrolled in the centre.

Article R221-21

Constitue un ” pôle Espoirs ” toute structure ou tout groupe de structures liées entre elles, notamment par convention, accueillant, à titre principal, des sportifs inscrits sur la liste des sportifs Espoirs prévue à l’article R. 221-11 et permettant à ces derniers de bénéficier des formations et préparation prévues aux 1° à 3° de l’article R. 221-20.

Les ” pôles Espoirs ” ne peuvent accueillir que des sportifs âgés de douze ans au moins ou inscrits dans un établissement scolaire du secondaire au cours de l’année de leur inscription dans le pôle.
