The purpose of project studies is :
1° To specify, by means of plans, sections and elevations, the shapes of the various elements of the construction, the nature and characteristics of the materials and the conditions under which they are to be used;
2° To determine the location and footprint of all structural elements and all technical equipment;
3° To specify the routes for the supply and removal of all fluids;
4° Drawing up an estimate of the cost of the work, broken down by trades, based on a preliminary bill of quantities;
5° Enabling the project owner, on the basis of this assessment, to determine the estimated cost of the work and to estimate the costs of its operation;
6° Determining the overall timeframe for completion of the work.
