The mayor fixes by order the dimensions and model of the signs indicating the names of the roads, squares or crossroads opened to traffic, as well as the dimensions and location of the spaces that owners reserve on their buildings, without them having to pay any compensation.
The supply, installation, maintenance and renewal of nameplates for public roads or squares are carried out by and at the expense of the municipality.
With regard to private roads and squares open to traffic, the supply, installation, maintenance and renewal of these nameplates are carried out by and at the expense of the owners. In the event that they fail to fulfil this obligation, the mayor will give them formal notice to do so and, failing this, the municipality will provide it, but at the expense and risk of the defaulting owners.
