The Marseille marine firefighters battalion is made up of a headquarters, intervention units, service and support units, training units, including the marine firefighters school, and a health and medical rescue service.

An order by the Minister of Defence, issued after consultation with the Marseille city council, specifies the operational organisation and administrative procedures of the formation.

Le bataillon de marins-pompiers de Marseille se compose d’un état-major, d’unités d’intervention, d’unités de service et de soutien, d’unités d’instruction, dont l’école des marins-pompiers, ainsi que d’un service de santé et de secours médical.

Un arrêté du ministre de la défense, pris après avis du conseil municipal de la ville de Marseille, précise l’organisation opérationnelle et les modalités d’administration de la formation.
