Article R2531-24 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The office of member of the committee is renewable.

The presidents of the regional and departmental councils and the mayor of Paris serve for the duration of their term of office.

The term of office of the elected representatives of the presidents of groups of municipalities and mayors expires on the occasion of the general renewal of the municipal councils.

However, the term of office of the members of the committee is extended until the installation of the full and alternate members who replace them.

Les fonctions de membre du comité sont renouvelables.

Les présidents du conseil régional et des conseils départementaux et le maire de Paris siègent pour la durée de leur mandat.

Le mandat des représentants élus des présidents de groupements de communes et des maires expire à l’occasion du renouvellement général des conseils municipaux.

Toutefois le mandat des membres du comité se trouve prorogé jusqu’à l’installation des membres titulaires et suppléants qui les remplacent.
