Article R268 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

A article R. 42, after the first paragraph, the following paragraph is inserted:

“If the accused resides on an island that is not served by a regular postal service, notification shall be made by the administrative or military authority, which shall issue without delay, against a signature, a notice mentioning the date of the request for notification by the court clerk. “

” Si le prévenu réside dans une île qui n’est pas desservie par un service régulier des postes, la notification est faite par l’autorité administrative ou militaire qui délivre sans délai, contre émargement, un avis mentionnant la date de la demande de notification par le greffier. “
