Article R278 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

For the application of article R. 49-8-2 in New Caledonia, the words: “to the representative of the State in the department in which it has its headquarters and, in Paris, to the Prefect of Police” are replaced by the words: “to the High Commissioner of the Republic in New Caledonia”.
