Article R297 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

Article R. 72 is worded as follows:

“Art. R. 72.-For persons born in the overseas collectivities or in New Caledonia and convicted by a French criminal court other than that of their place of birth, the forms provided for in articles R. 65 and R. 67, paragraph 2, and the notices provided for in articles R. 67, paragraph 1, R. 69 and R. 71, are sent to the public prosecutor or to the public prosecutor at the appeal court of the collectivity in which the place of birth is located, who forwards them to the competent registry. “

L’article R. 72 est rédigé comme suit :

” Art. R. 72.-Pour les personnes nées dans les collectivités d’outre-mer ou en Nouvelle-Calédonie et condamnées par une juridiction pénale française autre que celle de leur lieu de naissance, les fiches prévues aux articles R. 65 et R. 67, alinéa 2, et les avis prévus aux articles R. 67, alinéa premier, R. 69 et R. 71, sont transmis au procureur général ou au procureur de la République près la juridiction d’appel de la collectivité dans lequel est situé le lieu de naissance, qui les fait parvenir au greffe compétent. “
