Article R312-2 of the French Intellectual Property Code

The chairman is appointed by order of the minister responsible for communication.

An order of the minister responsible for communication establishes the list of professional organisations that appoint members of the commission and their alternates as well as the number of their representatives.

The term of office of the chairman and members of the commission is five years. It may be renewed.

A vacancy occurring during the term of office shall be filled by an appointment made for the remainder of the term.

Article R312-2

Le président est nommé par arrêté du ministre chargé de la communication.

Un arrêté du ministre chargé de la communication établit la liste des organisations professionnelles qui désignent les membres de la commission et leurs suppléants ainsi que le nombre de leurs représentants.

La durée du mandat du président et des membres de la commission est de cinq ans. Il est renouvelable.

Il est pourvu aux vacances survenant en cours de mandat par une désignation faite pour la durée du mandat restant à courir.
