Article R329-1 of the French Insurance Code

The administrative authorisation provided for in Article L. 329-1 is issued to branches of undertakings referred to in 4° of Article L. 310-2, under the conditions set out in Articles R. 321-1, R. 321-3, R. 321-5, R. 321-14, R. 321-16 to R. 321-18, if this undertaking is authorised to carry on insurance business under the national legislation to which it is subject and if it undertakes to establish at the head office of the branch accounts specific to the business it carries on there, and to keep there all documents relating to the business transacted. This authorisation is refused under the conditions set out in article R. 321-4.

Article R329-1

L’agrément administratif prévu à l’article L. 329-1 est délivré aux succursales d’entreprises mentionnées au 4° de l’article L. 310-2, dans les conditions prévues aux articles R. 321-1, R. 321-3, R. 321-5, R. 321-14, R. 321-16 à R. 321-18, si cette entreprise est habilité à exercer les opérations d’assurance en vertu de la législation nationale dont elle dépend et si elle s’engage à établir au siège de la succursale une comptabilité propre à l’activité qu’elle y exerce, ainsi qu’à y tenir tous les documents relatifs aux affaires traitées. Cet agrément est refusé dans les conditions de l’article R. 321-4.
