Article R342-12-4 of the French Tourism Code

Each inspection gives rise to a report indicating the non-conformities observed and the improvements to be made, which is sent by its author to the operator and to the Prefect within two months of the inspection.

Within two months of receiving the report, the operator must inform the Prefect of the measures taken to ensure compliance with the safety objective mentioned in the first paragraph of article R. 342-12.

If the operator fails to have the periodic inspection carried out within the specified time, the Prefect may implement the measures provided for in IV of Article L. 342-17.

Article R342-12-4

Chaque contrôle donne lieu à un rapport indiquant les non-conformités constatées et les améliorations souhaitables, qui est transmis par son auteur à l’exploitant et au préfet dans les deux mois suivant le contrôle.

Dans les deux mois suivant sa réception, l’exploitant informe le préfet des dispositions prises pour garantir le respect de l’objectif de sécurité mentionné au premier alinéa de l’article R. 342-12.

Si l’exploitant ne fait pas réaliser le contrôle périodique dans les délais prévus, le préfet peut mettre en œuvre les mesures prévues au IV de l’article L. 342-17.
