Article R342-19-1 of the French Tourism Code

An order of the Minister responsible for transport may waive or derogate from the application of certain provisions of this subsection to cross-border ski lifts, provided that the legal framework for the operation of these installations is such as to guarantee an equivalent level of safety.

Un arrêté du ministre chargé des transports peut écarter l’application de certaines dispositions de la présente sous-section aux remontées mécaniques transfrontalières, ou y déroger, dès lors que l’encadrement juridique de l’exploitation de ces installations est de nature à garantir un niveau de sécurité équivalent.
