Article R421-66 of the French Insurance Code

The French Central Bureau must justify to the Guarantee Fund the payment made to the foreign National Bureau of Insurance by sending to the Guarantee Fund the receipt signed by the victim(s) or their dependants or any document in lieu thereof, together with a certified statement of the expenses actually incurred in connection with the accident.

Le bureau central français doit justifier auprès du fonds de garantie du paiement effectué auprès du bureau national d’assurance étranger en adressant au fonds de garantie la quittance signée par la ou les victimes ou leurs ayants droit ou tout acte pouvant en tenir lieu, ainsi qu’un décompte certifié conforme des dépenses réellement exposées à l’occasion de l’accident.
