The diploma, training period and professional examination conditions provided for in articles R. 421-1 and R. 421-1-1 do not apply to persons who have successfully completed a course of study and, where applicable, the professional training required in addition to this course of study and who can provide proof of:
1° Either a diploma, certificate or other evidence of formal qualifications entitling them to practise the profession in a Member State of the European Union or party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area issued:
a) By the competent authority of that State and attesting to training acquired predominantly in the European Union or in the European Economic Area;
b) Or by an authority in a third country, provided that a certificate is issued by the Member State of the European Union or the State party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area which recognised the diploma, certificate or other evidence of formal qualifications certifying that the holder has at least three years’ full-time or part-time professional experience of equivalent duration acquired on its territory;
2° Either of having practised the profession full-time for one year or part-time for an equivalent period, over the previous ten years, in a Member State of the European Union or party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area which does not regulate the taking up or pursuit of that profession, provided that such practice is attested by the competent authority of that State and that the person concerned holds one or more attestations of competence or proof of evidence of formal qualifications preparing for the practice of the profession, issued by the competent authority of a Member State which does not regulate the profession. However, one year’s professional experience is not required if the applicant’s evidence of formal qualifications certifies regulated training.
