Article R427-7 of the French Insurance Code

A management board is set up for the fund referred to in Article L. 426-1. This board is chaired by the chairman of the board of directors of the Caisse centrale de réassurance.

The Board also includes:

1° The Director General of the Treasury or his representative;

2° The Director of Social Security or his representative;

3° The Director of the Budget or his representative;

4° Two representatives of insurance companies and one representative of reinsurance companies appointed by order of the Minister for the Economy;

5° Three representatives of the self-employed health professionals referred to in Article L. 426-1, appointed by order of the Minister for Health.

The members of the council mentioned in 4° and 5° are appointed for a period of three years. They may be reappointed. However, this term of office ends if the holder loses the capacity for which he was appointed. A new appointment is then made for the remainder of the term. The same applies in the event of death or resignation.

Article R427-7

Il est institué un conseil de gestion du fonds mentionné à l’article L. 426-1. Ce conseil est présidé par le président du conseil d’administration de la Caisse centrale de réassurance.

Ce conseil comprend en outre :

1° Le directeur général du Trésor ou son représentant ;

2° Le directeur de la sécurité sociale ou son représentant ;

3° Le directeur du budget ou son représentant ;

4° Deux représentants des entreprises d’assurance et un représentant des entreprises de réassurance nommés par arrêté du ministre chargé de l’économie ;

5° Trois représentants des professionnels de santé libéraux mentionnés à l’article L. 426-1, nommés par arrêté du ministre chargé de la santé.

Les membres du conseil mentionnés aux 4° et 5° sont nommés pour une durée de trois ans. Leur mandat est renouvelable. Toutefois, ce mandat prend fin si son titulaire perd la qualité au titre de laquelle il a été nommé. Il est alors procédé à une nouvelle nomination pour la durée du mandat restant à courir. Il en va de même en cas de décès ou de démission.
