Article R4412-89 of the French Labour Code

Workers are informed of the potentially harmful effects of exposure to chemical substances on fertility, on the embryo in particular at the start of pregnancy, on the foetus and on the child in the event of breast-feeding.
It makes women aware of the need to declare their pregnancy as soon as possible and informs them of the possibilities of temporary change of assignment and prohibited work as provided for in articles L. 1225-7 and D. 4152-10 respectively.

L’information des travailleurs porte sur les effets potentiellement néfastes de l’exposition aux substances chimiques sur la fertilité, sur l’embryon en particulier lors du début de la grossesse, sur le fœtus et pour l’enfant en cas d’allaitement.
Elle sensibilise les femmes quant à la nécessité de déclarer le plus précocement possible leur état de grossesse et les informe sur les possibilités de changement temporaire d’affectation et les travaux interdits prévus respectivement aux articles L. 1225-7 et D. 4152-10.
