When the sites council sits in a formation known as “nature, landscapes and sites”, it also comprises eight members in respect of the third college:
a) Three qualified individuals, one of whom is competent in the biological sciences and in the keeping of wild animals in captivity;
b) Two professionals, one representing advertising companies, the other sign manufacturers, sitting in an advisory capacity;
c) One representative of the Corsican environment office, appointed on the proposal of the president of the office;
d) One representative of the regional nature park, appointed on the proposal of the general assembly of the park;
e) One representative of the management bodies of the nature reserves created in the Corsican collectivity, appointed on the proposal of these bodies.
When the sites council meets on issues relating to the implementation of the Natura 2000 policy, the prefect may invite representatives of consular bodies and activities present on Natura 2000 sites, particularly agricultural, forestry, extractive, tourism or sports activities to participate, without voting rights.
When the sites council is tasked with issuing an opinion on a regulatory act relating to the protection of biotopes, natural habitats or sites of geological interest, the prefect may invite individuals and representatives of the consular bodies and activities concerned to participate, without voting rights.
