Article R4626-19 of the French Labour Code

The occupational physician is informed as soon as possible by the head of the establishment of any declaration of occupational illness, illness contracted during work and accident at work.

If he considers it necessary, he will draw up a report on the measures to be taken to prevent any recurrence of such incidents. This report is sent to the social and economic committee and to the head of the establishment, who sends a copy to the supervisory authority, and is made available to the labour inspector and the labour inspector’s medical officer.

The company doctor is also informed of any referral to the medical council. He draws up a report under the conditions specified inarticle 9 of decree no. 88-386 of 19 April 1988, as amended, relating to the conditions of physical fitness and sick leave of hospital civil servants.

Le médecin du travail est informé dans les meilleurs délais par le chef d’établissement de toute déclaration de maladie professionnelle, de maladie contractée pendant le travail et d’accident du travail.

Il établit, s’il l’estime nécessaire, un rapport sur les mesures à prendre pour éviter la répétition de tels faits. Ce rapport est adressé au comité social et économique ainsi qu’au chef d’établissement qui en adresse copie à l’autorité de tutelle, et il est tenu à la disposition de l’agent de contrôle de l’inspection du travail et du médecin agent de contrôle de l’inspection du travail.

Le médecin du travail est également informé de la saisine du conseil médical. Il rédige un rapport dans les conditions précisées à l’article 9 du décret n° 88-386 du 19 avril 1988 modifié relatif aux conditions d’aptitude physique et aux congés de maladie des agents de la fonction publique hospitalière.
