Article R512-16 of the French Monetary and Financial Code

Funds allocated to the Regional Mutual Credit Banks by the central body of Crédit Agricole, either as advances for their own loans or advances, or for loans granted through them by the central body of Crédit Agricole, are made available to them upon presentation of evidence of their needs and may only be used to carry out transactions for which they have obtained the agreement of the central body of Crédit Agricole.

Les fonds attribués aux caisses régionales de crédit agricole mutuel par l’organe central du Crédit agricole soit à titre d’avances pour la réalisation de leurs propres opérations d’avances ou de prêts, soit pour la réalisation par leur intermédiaire de prêts de l’organe central du Crédit agricole, sont mis à leur disposition sur justification de leurs besoins et ne peuvent être affectés qu’à la réalisation des opérations pour lesquelles elles ont obtenu l’accord de l’organe central du Crédit agricole.
