Article R551-12 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

Asylum seekers with a stable address are required, in the event of a change of address, to inform the French Office for Immigration and Integration without delay. Failing this, all correspondence is sent to the last known address and is deemed to have been notified to the addressee.

Le demandeur d’asile disposant d’un domicile stable est tenu, en cas de changement d’adresse, d’en informer sans délai l’Office français de l’immigration et de l’intégration. A défaut, toute correspondance est faite à la dernière adresse connue est réputée notifiée à son destinataire.
