Inventions whose author is an inventor covered by article L. 611-7-1, hosted by a legal entity carrying out research in which, at the date of the invention declaration, at least half of the permanent research staff are private-law employees, are subject to the provisions of articles R. 611-1 to R. 611-10.
The conditions under which this inventor, the author of an invention belonging to the legal entity carrying out research which hosts him pursuant to 1° of article L. 611-7-1, benefits from financial compensation are determined by his hosting agreement.
In particular, the amount of financial compensation received by the inventor takes account of the tasks entrusted to him, the circumstances in which the invention was made, the practical difficulties involved in developing it, his personal contribution to the invention and the economic and commercial interest that the host structure may derive from it.
