In carrying out its duties as defined in articles L. 6113-4 to L. 6113-8, the Commission :
1° Contributes to the harmonisation of the terminology used by the ministries and certifying bodies for the titles of professional qualifications, the activities they cover and the skills they attest to;
2° Ensures the quality of information for individuals and companies relating to professional qualifications, certifications and authorisations registered in the national registers and to qualifications recognised in the Member States of the European Union or parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, and ensures in particular that the reference systems for professional qualifications registered in the national register of professional qualifications are accessible to the public;
3° Contributes to international work on the quality of qualifications;
4° May be called upon by ministries and national joint employment committees of professional branches to address any issue relating to professional qualifications.
In carrying out its duties, the Commission shall take into account the work of regional, national and international employment and qualifications observatories, the Centre d’études et de recherches sur les qualifications and the observatoires prospectifs des métiers et des qualifications set up by the national joint employment commissions of the professional branches. It may request the France Compétences Board of Directors to carry out any action it deems necessary with regard to the evaluation of vocational certification policy.
