Article R6123-62 of the French Public Health Code

A seasonal haemodialysis unit caters for adults and children aged 8 and over, when they are travelling or on holiday. It does not care for patients living nearby. The authorisation sets out the periods when the seasonal haemodialysis unit is open and its operating characteristics.

If the establishment is authorised to carry out haemodialysis in a self-dialysis unit, the seasonal unit may only receive patients who are usually given home haemodialysis or self-dialysis; if the establishment is authorised for haemodialysis in a medical dialysis unit, the seasonal unit can only receive patients who are usually haemodialysed in a medical dialysis unit, in a self-dialysis unit or at home; if the establishment is authorised for haemodialysis in a centre, the seasonal unit can receive all patients, whatever their usual method of dialysis.

Une unité saisonnière d’hémodialyse accueille des adultes et des enfants de plus de 8 ans, lors de leurs déplacements et séjours de vacances. Elle ne prend pas en charge des patients résidant à proximité. L’autorisation fixe les périodes d’ouverture de l’unité saisonnière d’hémodialyse et les caractéristiques de son fonctionnement.

Si l’établissement est autorisé pour l’hémodialyse en unité d’autodialyse, l’unité saisonnière ne peut accueillir que des patients habituellement hémodialysés à domicile ou en autodialyse ; si l’établissement l’est pour l’hémodialyse en unité de dialyse médicalisée, l’unité saisonnière ne peut accueillir que des patients habituellement hémodialysés en unité de dialyse médicalisée, en unité d’autodialyse ou à domicile ; si l’établissement est autorisé pour l’hémodialyse en centre, l’unité saisonnière peut accueillir tous les patients quelle que soit leur modalité habituelle de dialyse.
