Article R6142-14 of the French Public Health Code

The university will pay, in accordance with the terms and conditions set out in the agreement, compensation for damage caused to the university hospital centre, its staff, patients and their visitors, either by students in the course of their university activities, or by staff under its authority in the course of their duties, or by any person participating in post-graduate teaching organised under its responsibility.

In application of the above paragraph, the university reimburses the university hospital centre the amount of the premiums relating to the insurance contracted for this purpose and, where applicable, the amount of the damage not covered by the insurance.

Article R6142-14

L’université prend en charge, selon les modalités déterminées par la convention, la réparation des dommages causés au centre hospitalier universitaire, à ses personnels, aux malades et à leurs visiteurs soit par les étudiants, à l’occasion de leurs activités universitaires, soit par les personnels relevant de son autorité à l’occasion de l’exercice de leurs fonctions, soit par toute personne participant à l’enseignement post-universitaire organisé sous sa responsabilité.

En application de l’alinéa ci-dessus, l’université rembourse au centre hospitalier universitaire le montant des primes afférentes à l’assurance contractée à cette fin et le cas échéant, le montant des dommages non couverts par l’assurance.
