Article R6341-2 of the French Labour Code

Within the limits of their respective powers, approval for vocational training courses is granted by :

1° The Minister responsible for vocational training, after obtaining the opinion of the Commission nationale de la négociation collective, de l’emploi et de la formation professionnelle (National Commission for Collective Bargaining, Employment and Vocational Training), for courses organised and financed at national level ;

2° The Regional Prefect, after consulting the Regional Committee for Employment, Training and Vocational Guidance, for courses organised and financed at regional level;

3° The prefect of the département, after consulting the regional employment, training and vocational guidance committee, for courses organised and financed at département level.

Dans la limite de leurs compétences respectives, l’agrément des stages de formation professionnelle est accordé par :

1° Le ministre chargé de la formation professionnelle, après avis de la Commission nationale de la négociation collective, de l’emploi et de la formation professionnelle, pour les stages organisés et financés au niveau national ;

2° Le préfet de région, après avis du comité régional de l’emploi, de la formation de l’orientation professionnelles, pour les stages organisés et financés au niveau régional ;

3° Le préfet de département, après avis du comité régional de l’emploi, de la formation de l’orientation professionnelles, pour les stages organisés et financés au niveau départemental.
