Article R6523-13 of the French Labour Code

If the corresponding transport costs are not covered by the funding bodies, the Prefect may reimburse all transport costs incurred by trainees residing in Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Martinique, La Réunion, Mayotte, Saint-Barthélemy, Saint-Martin and Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, who are following a course in mainland France for which the State or the region is responsible.

An annual report on the decisions taken by the Prefect regarding the reimbursement of transport costs for the trainees mentioned in the previous paragraph is presented to the Regional Committee for Employment, Training and Vocational Guidance.

A défaut de prise en charge par les financeurs de l’action de formation des frais de transport correspondants, le préfet peut accorder aux stagiaires résidant en Guadeloupe, en Guyane, en Martinique, à La Réunion, à Mayotte, à Saint-Barthélemy, à Saint-Martin à Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, qui suivent en France métropolitaine un stage donnant lieu à rémunération à la charge de l’Etat ou de la région le remboursement de la totalité des frais de transport occasionnés par le stage.

Un bilan annuel des décisions prises par le préfet en matière de remboursement de frais de transport pour les stagiaires mentionnés à l’alinéa précédent est présenté au comité régional de l’emploi, de la formation et de l’orientation professionnelles.
