Regional chambers of commerce and industry may appoint associate members, who have an advisory vote and whose number may not exceed half that of the elected members.
Associate members are appointed by the regional chamber of commerce and industry after each renewal from among qualified individuals with expertise in economic matters useful to the establishment.
Associate members take part in deliberations in an advisory capacity and may represent the chamber in all bodies in which it participates, without being able to commit it financially or contractually.
In application of III of article L. 713-12, a territorial chamber of commerce and industry based in the territory of two regions may be represented at the general meeting of the regional chamber to which this chamber is not attached by its president, or the president’s representative, and a number of elected members, with the status of associate members, corresponding in proportion to the representation of the different geographical components of this territorial chamber of commerce and industry. The number of these associate members is not included in the quota provided for in the first paragraph.
